Québec updates the rules on adoption and parental authority
The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Québec, Jean-Marc Fournier, and the Minister for Social Services, Dominique Vien, have announced proposals for major changes to the rules on adoption and parental authority, to provide a better response to the new realities facing Québec families.
Bill 81  , tabled on June 13, 2012 in the National Assembly, amends the Civil Code and other legislative provisions as regards adoption and parental authority.
