Recruitment process
Québec’s public service recruits personnel in accordance with the Public Service Act , using competitions or candidate inventories to fill casual and regular positions at government departments and bodies. The selection process is impartial and fair, and includes exams to select candidates. One of these exams is reserved for university students, and is held each fall.
The website Portail Carrières de la fonction publique québécoise lists all the competitions and candidate inventories for which candidates can currently apply.
On the Justice website, the page Bar school articling students explains the procedure used to recruit articling students.
