 On October 6, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Québec, Kathleen Weil, tabled the Draft bill for the Act to amend the Civil Code and other legislative provisions as regards adoption and parental authority  (in French) in the National Assembly.
Members of the public are invited to express their views on this subject of key importance for all Quebecers, in particular during public hearings organized by a parliamentary committee starting on January 13, 2010.
Until the parliamentary committee starts its work, you can take part in the consultation process by completing the questionnaire on the National Assembly website . The answers given in the questionnaire will be forwarded to the members of the committee to provide input for the debate.
