Mediation

Mediation is a method for resolving differences in which the parties agree to submit their dispute to a mediator rather than to the courts.

This procedure is proceedings for a divorce, a separation and the dissolution of a civil union and there is a tendency to extend it to civil and commercial matters. Finally, amicable dispute resolution conferences, which are similar to mediation, are now offered by most courts that come under the jurisdiction of Québec.
