In June 1998, the Ministère de la Justice, the judiciary and the Barreau du Québec signed the Statement of Principle regarding Witnesses. The Statement of Principle reaffirms the primacy of the person, emphasizing the essential role of witnesses in our legal system and the necessity of simplifying the process for witnesses appearing in court.
