Arlène Gaudreault

As a trained criminologist, Arlène Gaudreault has worked for almost 20 years in order to allow victims of criminal acts to be heard in the criminal justice system. As president of the Association québécoise Plaidoyer-Victimes since June 1988, she actively oversees the promotion of the rights of victims and the elaboration of laws, policies and programs which take victims' concerns and interests into consideration. She has played many roles, including those of trainer, leader, guide, defender of rights, speaker, manager, consultant, researcher and clinician.
