Sales Register

The new Code of Civil Procedure , which came into force on January 1, 2016, amends and modernizes the process for a sale under judicial authority as a way to exercise a hypothecary right or obtain the execution of a judgment.

Instead of being required to publish notices in a newspaper circulated in the locality where the sale is to take place, the people responsible for the sale can now publish notices—mainly concerning sales of property—in a new entirely electronic register, known as the sales register.

The register allows these people, generally court bailiffs, to prepare, update and publish notices for the sales under their responsibility.

Other people can consult the register to find out more about upcoming sales and possible acquire property at an advantageous price.
