Complaint against a trustee

Trustees in bankruptcy must act professionally at all times in the performance of their duties. More specifically, they are require:

  • to provide all required notices;
  • to manage seized amounts diligently;
  • to avoid giving illegal or dishonest advice;
  • to use the personal information in their possession with rigour and rectitude.

Trustees in bankruptcy are subject to a code of ethics published under the responsibility of the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy.
