Notice of sale
Before any of your property, whether movable or immovable, can be sold, a notice of sale must be published by the bailiff at least 30 days before the date of the sale. The notice must state:
- the nature of the property;
- the method of sale (by agreement, through a call for tenders or by auction);
- the charges and terms and conditions of the sale.
The notice of sale is published in the sales register kept by the Minister of Justice and, if applicable, in the land register.
The bailiff must notify the notice of sale to you without delay. If applicable, it is also notified to a garnishee in possession of your property, and to your designated creditors.
